เนื้อหาหลักสูตรในปัจจุบันยังไม่ปรับตามสถานการณ์โลกเท่าที่ควร รวมถึงทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ก็เป็นสิ่งสำคัญสำหรับประชากรในอนาคต การพัฒนานักเรียนสู่การเป็นพลเมืองโลก (global citizen) จำเป็นต้องปรับปรุงหลักสูตรให้เท่าทันเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ โดยเริ่มจากเพิ่มการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์และประเด็นสังคมต่างๆ ในโรงเรียนสังกัด กทม. เพื่อทำความเข้าใจประเด็นอ่อนไหว เช่น ความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ หรือชาติพันธุ์ นอกจากนี้ยังสอนให้เด็กตระหนักถึงการกลั่นแกล้งในโรงเรียนและโลกออนไลน์ พัฒนาทักษะความรู้ที่จำเป็นต่อการดำรงชีวิตในโลกยุคใหม่ เช่น การใช้เทคโนโลยี

The current BMA schools’ curriculum contents are not quite up-to-date. Moreover, critical thinking skills are important for future adults. Development of students to become global citizens requires updating of curricula so that they correspond to current events. This can start from adding to the BMA school curriculum the studies of history and social issues so that students can understand sensitive issues, such as gender equality, ethnicity and bullying at school and in social media. The updated curriculum should also help develop modern life skills like the use of technology.
