ปัญหาหาบเร่แผงลอยกีดขวางทางสัญจรในพื้นที่สาธารณะเป็นอีกหนึ่งประเด็นปัญหาของหาบเร่แผงลอยที่พบในหลายพื้นที่ 

ดังนั้น กทม.จะเป็นตัวกลางในการร่วมมือกับรัฐและเอกชนในการจัดหาพื้นที่ที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการพัฒนาเป็นศูนย์อาหาร (hawker) เน้นจุดที่มีความต้องการของผู้บริโภค ใกล้กับย่านการค้าเดิม ที่ให้ผู้เช่าเดิมสามารถเช่าได้ในราคาประหยัด สำหรับผู้ค้าแผงลอยที่สนใจ พร้อมกับการบริหารจัดการด้านความสะอาดโดย กทม. ตั้งแต่การทำความสะอาดพื้นที่อย่างสม่ำเสมอ การตรวจความสะอาดของสินค้าและอาหารที่ขาย การจัดการจุดซักล้างรวม การจัดการจุดแยกขยะและกำจัดขยะรวม

Details

The problem of hawker stalls obstructing foot traffic in public spaces is common in many areas.  Therefore, the BMA will be an intermediary in cooperation with the public and private sectors to provide suitable space for the development of hawker centers with a focus on areas with high consumer demand. The center will allow existing tenants to rent at an affordable price, and open to interested vendors.  The management and maintenance of cleanliness will be done by BMA ranging from regular cleaning, sanitary monitoring of the merchandise and food, management of common dishwashing stations, management of common waste separation and dumping stations.
