รายละเอียดนโยบาย
กทม.มีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาทักษะอาชีพของประชาชนผ่าน
- ศูนย์ฝึกอาชีพ 17 แห่ง หลักสูตรมุ่งเน้นการประกอบวิชาชีพ (เช่น ตัดผม ทำอาหาร ตัดเย็บเสื้อผ้า) ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรดั้งเดิมสอนมายาวนานและยังได้รับความนิยมจากประชาชน
- โรงเรียนฝึกอาชีพ 10 แห่ง มีหลักสูตรที่เปิดสอนมากกว่า 200 หลักสูตร [1] เนื้อหาหลากหลายแตกต่างกันไปในแต่ละโรงเรียน โดยมีหลักสูตรครอบคลุม เช่น งานช่าง ช่างรถยนต์ ช่างเครื่องไฟฟ้า ช่างระบบในอาคาร งานคหกรรม อาหารไทย อาหารนานาชาติ งานภาษา เกาหลี จีน ญี่ปุ่น เป็นต้น
อย่างไรก็ดีความต้องการของภาคธุรกิจเป็นอีกหนึ่งปัจจัยสำคัญที่ควรนำมาออกแบบหลักสูตรเพื่อให้นักเรียนที่ผ่านการอบรมเป็นที่ต้องการของตลาด มีงาน และมีรายได้ โดยเมื่อสืบค้นข้อมูลกลับไปอย่างน้อยถึงปี 2549 พบว่าหลักสูตรวิชาส่วนใหญ่ยังคงเป็นวิชาเดิม
ดังนั้น กทม.จะเพิ่มทางเลือกให้กับการศึกษาผ่านโรงเรียนและศูนย์ฝึกอาชีพ กทม. ทั้งการสนับสนุนการพัฒนาทักษะอาชีพที่ทำอยู่ในปัจจุบันเพื่อรองรับการประกอบอาชีพหลักหรืออาชีพเสริม และการสนับสนุนการพัฒนาบุคลากรเข้าสู่ระบบแรงงานเอกชนโดยการพัฒนาหลักสูตรที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของตลาด เช่น e-Commerce (ผ่านการสำรวจความต้องการจากเอกชนในพื้นที่ หรือการพัฒนาหลักสูตรร่วมกันกับเอกชน) เพื่อเพิ่มโอกาสให้นักเรียนมีงานทำหลังจบจากหลักสูตรแล้ว และ กทม.จะติดตามประสิทธิภาพการทำงานของนักเรียนที่จบการศึกษาเพื่อนำแนวคิดมาปรับปรุงหลักสูตรอย่างต่อเนื่อง
นอกจากการพัฒนาหลักสูตรแล้ว กทม.จะช่วยสนับสนุนให้แรงงานฝีมือภายในกรุงเทพฯ เข้าถึงแพลตฟอร์มการจ้างงานได้ โดยการช่วยเหลือของอาสาสมัครเทคโนโลยี (อสท.) เพื่อช่วยเพิ่มโอกาสในการหางานที่เหมาะสม

The BMA plays an important role in developing vocational skills for the citizens through:
- 17 vocational training centers with vocational-oriented courses (such as haircuts, cooking, tailoring), which are traditionally taught for a long time and are still popular among the public.
- 10 vocational schools with more than 200 courses [1] The courses vary from school to school, including courses related to mechanics, car mechanics, electrical mechanics, system technicians, Thai food exhibitions, international food exhibitions, as well as language courses including Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
However, business demand is another important factor that should be considered when designing a curriculum, such that the students are marketable, earning jobs and incomes. Data tracing back to 2006, however, shows that most curricula still remain the same.
Therefore, the BMA will increase educational choices and vocational training centers, supporting the development of vocational skills that are currently in place and streamlining human resources into the private labor system through courses that are in line with the current demands, for example, e-Commerce courses (through demand surveys among local private sector and courses in collaboration with the private sector). This would create more opportunities for the students to become employed right after finishing their courses. The BMA will monitor the performance of the newly graduated students in order to continually improve the curricula.
In addition to the course development, the BMA will support skilled workers in Bangkok by providing access to the employment platform with the help of Technology Volunteers (AOT) [อาสาสมัครเทคโนโลยี (อสท.)] in finding suitable jobs.
