เพื่อแก้ปัญหาอาหารเหลือทิ้ง (food waste) ที่ทำให้เกิดความเสียหายทั้งด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและเศรษฐกิจ โดยร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชน ภาคประชาสังคม และหน่วยงานที่ดำเนินการอยู่เดิม รวบรวมส่งต่อวัตถุดิบ และอาหารส่วนเกิน (food surplus) จากผู้ประกอบการและผู้ที่ต้องการส่งต่อความช่วยเหลือ (ผู้ให้) เช่น ผู้ประกอบการโรงแรม ห้างสรรพสินค้า ซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต ตลาด คอมมิวนิตี้มอลล์ และศูนย์อาหาร (food court) สู่ผู้ที่ต้องการ เช่น กลุ่มเปราะบาง กลุ่มคนจนเมือง หรือผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากภัยพิบัติและสาธารณภัยในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน

ดังนั้น กทม.จะดำเนินการศึกษา ออกแบบวางแผน และทำงานร่วมกับเครือข่ายในการผลักดันให้เกิด BKK Food Bank เพื่อเป็นต้นแบบแห่งแรกของประเทศไทย เป้าหมายเพื่อสร้างความมั่นคงทางอาหารให้แก่คนเมือง (food safety) และสร้างกลไกส่งต่อความช่วยเหลือ และแก้ไขปัญหาอย่างยั่งยืนสอดคล้องแนวคิด SDGs

Details

BMA plans to solve the problem of food waste that damages both environment and economy by cooperating with the private sector, civil society and existing operating agencies such as SOS (Scholars of Sustenance) Thailand. This project collects and forwards raw materials and food surplus from entrepreneurs and those who wish to offer help (providers), such as hotel operators, shopping malls, supermarkets, markets, community malls and food courts, to those in need, such as vulnerable groups, groups of low-income people or those affected by disasters and public disasters in emergency situations.

BMA plans to study, design, plan and work with its network to mobilize BKK Food Bank as Thailand’s prototype. The goal is to create food safety for Bangkok residents and create a mechanism to offer help as a sustainable solution in line with a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
